Jared Snow first visited Peru for his first wedding anniversary. That connection grew into a life and a business here. He calls himself an honorary Peruvian, and Peru remains his favorite place in the world.

While living and doing business in Peru, Jared began by purchasing permits and helping travelers put their plans in order. Some had booked inexpensive tours through other agencies and arrived to find that important details had gone wrong. He became the person who helped them find a way forward.

Travel in Peru can be complicated. A train must be booked for the right day. A permit must match the passport. Separate reservation systems have to come together into one workable journey. A small mistake can disrupt a trip someone has dreamed about for years.

I founded Destination Peru in June 2012 to help people experience the country with a team that knows it well and takes responsibility for the details. Founded in June 2012, the company brings local knowledge and careful coordination to every journey, so travelers can spend their time enjoying Peru and learning about this extraordinary country.

Our long relationship with Inkaterra shapes the hotels we recommend. Today our team works from Cusco and the Salt Lake City area, planning private journeys, supporting travel advisors, running university and corporate groups, and operating the Inca Trail through our licensed company, Inca Trek.
